I honestly don't mind much, none of them are really (ultimately) my thing. If fans are idiots then they will continue being idiots, can't say anything about the music since it doesn't tickle my curiosity too much. If an artist has a fair share of 'artistry' then I'd let it be, yet it shows when everyone is able to like one exact thing, that the public isn't quite select nor specific when this kind of thing rolls on and that also depends on the content.
i dont think something being popular lessens its inherent value. im just saying these bands are/were full of assholes, and i dont like what they stood for. gaining some weird sacred-cow mentality just because theyve been culturally certified as important doesnt seem too great imo.

I hate pop music I say, because it feels like art isn't progressing anymore, but damn I love queen. It's peak theater kid music. I only really Like mystery magical tour form the Beatles though. I very much dislike their earlier work though. You sure you can say you don't like one of any of their songs. This is why I like Kate Bush cause she is a lot less controversial and is very artistic. The title felt like ragebating though
