I've been listening to music since I was a little kiddie, from music on radios, and TV Channels showing me the latest global hit like Justin Bieber n One Direction—my life was never devoid of music.
Though, as I've grown into my teen, I exclusively listened to two genre's, generic Rock and Pop. For a while, I thought I was content with it. I mean, Rock and Pop itself is a huge genre with many sub's.
I am glad that I changed my ways though, around 2024, I tried to branch out. Sometimes failing miserably. But after a listen through one Rap album (i forgot it's name) I was hooked. I really loved it, and felt that I was missing out on a lot of great albums. So then I listened to some more, then as time goes by, the genre branches out even more.
Recently, I listened to a lot of different things. Agalloch, "The Mantle" which was a Post-Metal record. Kacey Musgraves, "Golden Hour" a great album in a notoriously hated and avoided genre, which is Country—I thought I'll hate it at first, but this is actually a really great album. Casiopea, "S/T" a Jazz-Fusion album, with a cover that matches the energy of the music, I love this one to death. For my last one. It's a 10/10 album for me. Clipse's, "Let God Sort Em Out".
Though even with all that, it never hurts to listen to some One Direction once a while. (I still do, love Rock Me) ;)
