Jinx (bl) is HORSESHIT

(This is a general complaint, I'm just using Jinx as an explample)

Im honestly speechless about how normalised and Romanticised rape and abuse is in the yaoi community, especially with how OBSESSED fans are with the new manhwa Jinx.

Mingwa (the creator) took years off from her most famous work BJ Alex just to post a new manhwa with the same storyline, "relationship dynamic" and plot. It's always about "the angry abusive top who treats the bottom terrible but it's okay cause he becomes a good guy at the end and they have a happy ending".

Very honestly, this "toxic but becomes a green flag" storyline is so fucking basic, misleading and simply BAD WRITING. There's nothing plot twisting worthy about a rapist that becomes a "good guy". This plot is very popular in the bl community, and it's concerning. There's nothing "hot" about it, nothing "wholesome", it's just HORSESHIT.

It's not a "slow burn" or a "character's backstory", rape is never something that you can just put aside as a "story plot so the top becomes a good boyfriend". Don't even let me start talking about the absolute shit of a fandom.

Either 14yo dumbass kids who need therapy or 30 year old women who have no damn reason who call rape and abuse hot. It's not cute, it's not wholesome, it's not a "sad backstory", it's ABUSE AND RAPE AND SHOULD NEVER BE NORMALISED.

I know people will argue back that these dark elements aren't being used for others to romanticise it, but especially when it comes to Jinx, this is the entire point. A "yaoi" is a porn category, every dynamic that is being used in porn between the main characters is supposed to be romanticised. Plus, the whole plot setting is based on rape and abuse so it can highlight "the character's road to clarity" and show them as the good guy who lets go of the past.

Fucking bullshit, don't even try to excuse any of this.
