Day 1- 364 Films in 364 Days

DAY 1- A QUIET PLACE, DAY ONE.

(BEWARE OF SPOILERS)

I chose this movie because it had the phrase day one on it. I think it's fitting for my first day of my challenge :D. 

The movie has a storyline strong enough by the first fifty minutes, but when Sam and Eric met, not much suspense or thriller has happened. I expected it to be some kind of origin story on how the monsters were created, or made (if ever they were aliens in a UFO), because it's in the title itself, claiming as a "Day One" type of movie. But no, it was more of an...empty prequel. Prequels are supposed to explain the events on how the first movie was made, but no. This movie just showed what happened in NYC during the first day the monsters attacked. I didn't do extensive research on the movie and the sequels itself, but I have watched the other two movies before (the ones with Emily Blunt, John Krasinski and Cillian Murphy), and I'm sure it's a prequel. It's also in the title. Instead, it left me with more questions than answers, which a prequel isn't supposed to do. Questions like, how can the monsters not swim? Where did they come from?  It left me unsatisfied and a bit bored.
