My own opinions on the state of Spacehey/Social Media

TLDR; Spacehey isn't going to have active people because blog sites just aren't a main way to post anymore, among other things. 

Hi! I know I have only one blog post, but I have been around on this site for 4 years now. I've been trying to stay active more, but in all honesty, I know this site will never be popular. Which is why I believe people shouldn't be sad and or angry that people join and only stay online for a week.

Yea you're right, but short-form content such as on Tiktok or Instagram is superior due to the fact that it IS short. On here, posts are made of PARAGRAPHS, SCARY!!! I'm not trying to be up on some moral high horse, I have a short-attention span as well, but I'm trying to get back into long form content. But no, we shouldn't beat people down who also have a short-attention span. Tiktok became the blueprint for content during 2020, as it was the most popular way to communicate. Vine/Musically was around as well, but that short-video format didn't blow up until 2020. It became the norm to be able to watch a video under 20 seconds, and quarantine made people stuck inside with nothing else but to watch this. 

Videos in general were the doom of words, there was no need to read when someone could talk instead. Advancements in technology are always bound to replace something. 

So, how does Spacehey come into this, weather boy? Well, since Spacehey is essentially the predecessor of Myspace, it, of course, is a blog site. Again, with Tiktok, Spacehey was advertised to be just a place to have a cute account and connect with others, and the idea of it being a blog site was essentially thrown out the window. This in turn led to people coming on, seeing that oh, hey, my account is kinda cool, but there's not much to do on here. 

Spacehey for many just wouldn't be a source to post on either, other social media already takes that place.  In conclusion, it's okay! This site (while having flaws) is still great. It revived a site that many adored, and the people who like it, like it.
