Hi!! I finally went outside LOOOOL. I had a packed weekend schedule! :o)) at least by my standards which are "go outside whenever you have money" and as someone who rarely ever gets work, that means once every month on average. But! I had $20 lying around and we found some interesting stuff to do in the city soooo...
On thursday I made pizza for lunch and my mom made pineapple upside down cake. In the evening we went to a bookstore! She entered a writing contest and they would be announcing the winners there and everyone would read their stories aloud. Mom didn't win but she ended up meeting other writers and that was even more rewarding :D
Anyway, after that, it was 7 pm and it's SOOO hard to find buses home after 6 pm, seriously the public transportation system is so fucked. It really sucks that you have to own a car or have money for expensive taxis if you live in the ass end of your city but still want to enjoy the nightlife T___T or even like, evening life :(
But anyway that's a rant for another blog! we spent 1 hour at the bus stop until we got tired of waiting and we called my uncle, who is a taxi driver, and he picked us up. We had leftover pizza for dinner, a slice of cake, and then lounged around all night lol.
We had plans to go do karaoke on Friday at a little restaurant at the mall but the power went out LOL and my cramps were killing me that day so I don't think I would've had a good time anyway. Glad I didn't go in the end.
Saturday went crazy. I went to a screening of indie short films!! It was very cool. One of my high school friends acted in the shorts and I had NO idea! I saw her and it was so lovely to catch up.
There were various models of chairs in the lawn so I sat in the comfiest looking one. And it was next to a guy so we chatted while the screening began. It turns out we have a lot of the same music taste 0___o this has never happened to me IRL. He bought me a ginger ale and I feel a bit bad about it. Anyway, he invited me to lunch the next day.
And so I went! We went to a burger place and okay. The burgers were really good but it was ludicrously expensive for what it was. $11.5 for a burger and fries? And that's without the drink? Fuck off! But he offered to pay for them. I took him up on the offer but I still felt a little bit bad so I offered to pay for an iced coffee for him.
After lunch, we walked to a nearby bookstore but it was closed... So we went to a coffee shop that he said was really nice. And it was also closed. So we went to the mall. We didn't get iced coffee but we got some gelato popsicles which were very good. After that we had a chat, we went to look at random stuff in the mall like clothes and water bottles, and we left after that haha. It was nice.
I was worried he was looking for a date because I'm really not interested in that right now, and if I was, it would be with a girl. But no, he understood right away! He said "Yeah you gave me aromantic vibes" LOL. I'm so glad we made a friend!
This is so crazy, we share a birthday. He's older than me but our birthdays are both on May 10.
(also yes my birthday is next week!!! :D)
Anyway that was my weekend!
