All about me!

Heyy, so I've actually joined Spacehey about 3 months ago and have never actually posted a blog or even a bulletin.

So here's me finally posting one. I thought my first blog entry should be about myself. It's a good way to start, I guess. Hope I don't sound too self-absorbed in this blog. Anyways...

My name is Halley, and I just turned 16 on the 14th of March, which makes me a Pisces ♓. I live in Singapore, a tiny island in Southeast Asia. I don't actually have a lot of friends in school. Never considered myself cool or whatever. I don't really go out often, mainly cuz there's not much to do and the fact that my friends and I don't have much money to spend hanging out. So I guess u could call me a homebody.

My hobbies:

I don't think I'm that boring of a person. Whenever I feel like it, I'd pick up my guitar and play a few chords. Now, I would say that I'm still a beginner. I'm not very good at picking and playing FRICKING BAR CHORDS. But I would say for a guitarist who's been self-teaching herself, I think I'm quite alright. Occasionally, I do try to write songs. More on that in my next blog though.

I love watching movies and shows. Mostly watch romance movies when I'm alone. I'm such a hopeless romantic. My favourite movie of all time has got to be Back to the future. Currently watching Glimore girls. So far, I've only watched/finished 1 anime which is Nana. GOD I LOVE NANA SO MUCH. (would not recommend though)

I do try to read in school when I have time during breaks. But I'm not much of a reader. I really trying though.

Likes:

I would say some of my likes are very unusual. I love the smell of fresh laundry, most strawberry-flavoured things (since they are my favourite fruit), vanilla, pages in between books and fresh baked goods, especially Famous Amos cookies. I would sometimes take an extra deep breath whenever I passed by the shop in malls. 

I love long car rides. More specifically, during sunsets. I LOVE SUNSETS. If I have my earpiece in with an unlimited battery, I genuinely think I could last forever. I would always try to sit in the left back seat. Sitting in the right would often lead me to stare at myself in the rearview mirror. Which would lead me to accidentally make eye contact with the driver. Awkwardddd. 

I love collecting things. My dad and my friends call me a hoarder. I collect physical media. CD's, DVD's, magazines, photobooth strips, polaroids. I collect random stuff to like clothes tags, pins (HUGE PIN LOVER), stickers and soda tabs. I think the love of collecting things started in my childhood when my mother would gift me one shopkin for every mini to major test in school. So I have maybe a 100 of them? I use to collect the newer lps but they stop selling that in my local toy shops. My wallet breathes a sigh of relief now whenever I visit toy shops. In general, I just collect cute things or cute things that have my favourite characters on them.

I would say I'm an animal lover. If you count pests like roaches and mosquitoes out. I can only dream of having a pet reptile since it's illegal to own one in my country. If I could be reborn as any animal it would be a bird or a panda. Bird cuz they seem so free and panda cuz people would still adore me even though I have my dark eye bags and eat a lot every day.

I love physical touch; I need it. I love hugs, cuddles and resting my head on someone's shoulder. I face lesbian allegations in school cuz I'm always holding my best friend's hand. IT SHOULD BE NORMALISED. 

I love eyeliner, I do it for fun sometimes and my mother would constantly tell me to remove it before going to sleep because I would have "panda eyes". I love funky socks, leggings, slip dresses, boots, necklaces, friendship bracelets and henly tops, baby tees and shirts with the artists I listen too. I like having my hair in braids. I prefer painted nail polish over acrylic nails. I love them even more when they're imperfectly perfectly chipped.

This list could be longer but these are just a few of my favourite things. But one thing I love more than anything in this list is my blanket. I'm a blanky girl. Sue me.

Dislikes:

I hate people who put you down when you like something too much or get too excitable about something. I'm a really excitable person so I talk a lot about things I'm very passionate about and sometimes overshare. I hate hot and humid days. The weather here is so unpredictable. I hate studying. In fact I should be studying right now but I'm writing this blog. I have a chemistry test on Monday and few other more tests.

I don't like carbonated drinks. The feeling in my nose and throat after drinking soda is just disgusting to me. I hate leaving stray cats after petting them and even more when they still follow me after. I feel sad whenever I step on a leaf that looks crunchy but isn't. My least favourite question to be asked is where I see myself in however many years. 

Obviously I have many things I hate but I just feel these ones are the ones that scream me.
