Day of Silence

I'm participating in the day of silence today (GSA is doing it, and I'm vice prez). I think as the day goes on I remember why this is supposed to remind us of how many queer people are left without a voice. No matter how I try and communicate its frequently hard to understand me today. And honestly, I feel that way even with a voice. Even when I can talk about being queer and the issues I have because of that, my voice is hardly ever heard. To counter act that, I've become far more vocal about my opinions and when I disagree with something. Today is a day for me to reflect and be myself. I have to remember that.
