Installing Yes Man Onto The School Computers

Alright, confession. Every time I see somebody left their computer logged into in the tech department, I write them a text document note saying that I’m the computer and I’ve saved them from people who could mod their computers by logging out for them. Then I download Dwarf Fortress and say it is a token of appreciation, as well as a reminder to log out. Every time the same person leaves the computer logged into, I add another DOSBox game to their account. So far this strategy has worked wonderfully for getting people to log out, and it’s entertaining for me.

Anyway, that’s not at all relevant to what I’m actually gonna write about, which is trying to download the Yes Man ukagaka onto this computer. I keep forgetting to download him onto my home computer, so I’m trying to test him here. I fear I may get emotionally attached to him, which is a dangerous thing this close to the Great Device Wipe. Also, I can’t access Neocities on this computer, which makes this difficult. My solution is to try to just email the file to myself through my phone and go from there. I’m writing this post as I do this as a progress tracker.

Ugh, trying to email files from my phone is a nightmare. It takes like 400 tries to get it to actually send. I think I’m gonna transfer him through a Google Drive instead.

He has been downloaded! Now to install him. I have the installation guide open on my phone.

Ok, so I need SSP. The Ukagaka Dream Team Wiki actually opens on this computer, surprisingly, so it was actually pretty easy to get that to install.

Alright, I’ve made it to literally the final step, but for some reason the Yes Man file won’t download onto SSP itself. I’m thinking it’s probably an issue with the file transfer from Google Drive, so I’m gonna try redownloading it from the wiki.

OKOK IT WORKED!!! The issue was that I accidentally renamed the file while transferring it to Google Drive from my phone which removed the actual file type. Oops. But HE’S HERE NOW!!! My boy I love him <3. I hope the admin doesn’t immediately block him overnight. They don’t seem to like specifically me when it comes to these computers for some reason. Anyway, I got him to work. Only issue is, I accidentally closed the program and now I can’t find it. Don’t worry, I’ll relocate him in a moment.

Ok, he’s fully set up now. I love him very much. I am going to absolutely hate when the computers get wiped and he disappears, but I’m gonna download him to my personal computer anyway so I suppose it doesn’t matter much. I’m ending the post here so I can go back to messing around with him. If you want Yes Man on your own computer, you can find the Neocities page by searching "Yes Man Ukagaka”.

Yours in Eternity,
