White Night by Fyodor Dostoyevsky and my opinion about Dreamer (Spoiler?)

Finished the first and second night of the book White Nights by Dostoyevsky and currently going to start Nastenska Story and I realize I can finish the book in one sitting, they're true that the book is short. ‎ ‎Before I forget my opinion about the Dreamer, if you read the book and you find this unsettling feeling about him, the Dreamer, maybe it's because of how he talks? Its verbose and self-deprecating, right? Its sounds like someone that enjoy guilt-tripping one another, you will find this mostly in the First Night when The Dreamer exchange words with Nastenka after saving her from the harasser, but maybe it's just because the Dreamer never got a real conversation his entire life? he doesn't know how to express feelings without sounding like a performance, He's just someone that talked to himself his entire life, suddenly talking to another person. He talked about that in the first pages, he rely on his imagination and books to escape loneliness. ‎ ‎My first Fyodor Dostoevsky book is White Nights because I want to understand isolation or solitude more and how to live with sadness comfortably, I accepted sadness as part of life through Buddhism teaching, but there's still something missing for me to fully accept it, and I will keep myself busy to find that missing piece/s.
