Getting used to a new keyboard layout (again!)

It’s been a hot minute since I was still actively interacting with things on SpaceHey, so I’m glad to be back!! Reason why I was gone was ’cuz of the weird pfp glitches that were happening… Now that that’s been resolved though, we’re all gucci!

So… if you don’t know me, you probably don’t know what kind of history I’ve had with keyboard layouts. From growing up with my country’s standard of AZERTY even when typing in Dutch (yes I’m Belgian) to ‘rebelling’ and using QWERTY instead, I’ve had phases in my life where I hated on several layouts for… eh, stupid reasons. Now, I absolutely adore trying out new layouts! Which is why I’ve finally chosen to use QWERTZ (aka German layout) as my main keyboard from now on.

What I was using before this, was a variant of QWERTY called “Canadian Multilingual Standard”. (Go look it up if you haven’t heard/seen it before!) I’ve made my own makeshift key stickers, and the QWERTZ that I’m using now in particular is the E2 variant. (Again, look it up in case you’re unfamiliar with it.)
