Venice's Station - Questionable Life Choices

Today I was in Venice, nevermind it's a school day, you and your two friends can skip.

We spent all day going around the city and being dumbasses as usual. Somehow we managed to not go straight in a canal and we even not to loose ourselves. Almost. Well, we can thanks that I have a pretty good visual memory and a good sense of direction. More than one time I had to literally grab my friends and drag them to the right way.

Anyway, us being morons isn't the point of this story. We were at the station buying the tickets for the train back when a woman approached me. Panic. If you know something about train station in Italy you know that when someone approaches you it's 90% of the times because they want to scam you. Against my better judgement I didn't respond to her in some random language but I heard her out. She sounded very worried and didn't look like the usual station scammer so that was kinda of a relief on my side. Long story short she was stranded in Venice because some prick knocked her phone from her hands and broke it, making her unable to pay the parking ticket at Mestre and needed €9. She told me many times that she didn't want any charity and she would send me my money back if I would give her my IBAN. Maybe because she looked very panicked, maybe because she was from my region (she was from Pordenone and I'm from Gorizia, both in Friuli Venezia Giulia) I gave her the money with many thanks and the promise that she would pay me pack as soon as she arrived home.

So, I kept high the "if you have a problem go to a punk and they would help you" philosophy but what do you think? I got scammed? In any case I did a good thing.
