Hello!
Thought it would be nice to talk about my series I'm making in my screenplay class and hoping to continue so after the semester is over. As I said in my bio its a Legal/Crime Drama called Suffolk Justice, set my state Massachusetts, focusing on the city of Boston. A little bit inspired by the law and order series. Its supposed to be a character driven series that shows how the legal/police job effects the lives of my characters.
Here's the brief logline I could think of:
The dedicated officers and lawyers of Boston fight hard in a bleak justice system while juggling the aspects of their personal lives
Now why I'm thinking about making this? well to be honest I already stems from my interest of criminal law since high school (Took a intro to criminal law class) but also stemming from being of a crime in September of 2024 when a man tried to kiss me on the lips of an elevator. During that timeframe of having to deal with court bullshit I watched a bit of Law and Order SVU and after a while it got my starting to write a lot and was taking and intro screenplay class the fall semester. And now this semester taking the advance screenplay class where I been able to not only expend the craft and my my series but being able to make the first pilot script which is based on my incident. I hope to do my best with the legal realism in the series to.
I done so much revising for my series, its a lot but rewarding and I'm happy with how my script has been truing out this semester. I'm working on the outline of the 2nd ep at the moment but still trying to do some revisions of still of the pilot.
Since I don't think can attach the docs of my series outline stuff for the script, I will post info of my characters and stuff at a later time and hope you enjoy it.
Looking forward to sharing my creative works soon!
P.S idk if the writing or school category. But since I'm talking about on of my classes hopefuly its not an issue
