Blissful Slumber [Poem]

In the hazy fog between

Dreams and the awoken

A sight that remains unseen

And words never spoken

The sun greets the room once more

Through the blinds, it shines

Feeling better than I have before,

Since I have you to call mine

I found heaven in your arms

And warmth in your heart

Peace in your presence

Sweetness in your essence

Circling me, embracing me

Despair gone, filled with glee

Fuzzy tingles along my back

Floating on warm linen

These feelings are your knack

That has kept me grinnin'

I feel you press against me

Please never let go

Because I love you, you see

More than you'll ever know

I want this to last forever

But even I'm aware

An eternity? Never.

Because life is not fair

I know soon, the alarm will sing

To pull me away

This feeling's such a wonderful thing

I don't wanna leave, no way

But alas here it rings in my ear

I fear I must no longer soak in

All your love, my dear

For I must join the land of the awoken
