Moving too fast

We have reached a point in society where people are constantly striving for more, not in self improvement but in material things. I myself strive for more and want a lot of material things. Another thing is we feel like we are under pressure constantly. We feel like we need to keep working, or sometimes we feel like we can’t do anything. You get too tired to leave your bed or do anything “productive”. All of these really leave is spending time without really experiencing it. We stop appreciating smaller things that we do have. I would say part of this is because social media and seeing people parade lives that may not even be their life. Seeing them puts you in a place of comparison where you feel like you’re behind. It’s ok to feel behind but most of the times you are right where you need to be, you don’t need to rush to catch up.

I totaly agree, i have these thoughts all the time.

Being on social media really alters your brain and how you view your life verses the life you see on your phone from influences.

Sometimes when i'm scrolling i see teens who are living and experiencing the life that "i want" or the life i feel like i deserve. and i feel a sense of disappointment in myself because i think that their way ahead of me in life, and that i'm just slacking.

But really no one is ahead of anyone, its the way you perceive your life and the others around you. But social media definitely has a roll to play in the way we view life and our progress in it.

Its everyone's first time living. so we should all take life slowly and not worry about how everyone else might be "behind" or "ahead" of us. Rushing against time and people you see around you will get you nowhere.

Thats what i always tell myself.

But yeah. i see what you mean. and i appreciate your mindset. its refreshing to see other people have the same thoughts as me.
