Recipe Swap !

I have an idea, if you have a recipe you love to make and might want to share it with me, please do ! I have a recipe for you in return! I have a recipe book that I have been working on, and its a lil empty. However the catch is I only put recipes I personally have made already. Only because I don't want put down something that I haven't made yet. With the recipes I get I want to make them and show them and rate them! and if you are inspired with my idea, do it!!!

Comment down below a recipe that you want to me to try to make and maybe rate!

My recipe~!
Roast Beef Sliders!

What you need : Pretzel Buns, roast beef (prepackaged is fine), butter, any cheese slices you might like however I use cheddar for these, onions (optional) and, thousand island dressing (optional) but if you want to get the true experience add the optional ^^

Seasonings for the beef - onion powder, garlic powder, liquid smoke in a bottle, paprika, pepper, salt, and

1. Set oven to 350/375 Fahrenheit or 176/190 Celsius

2. Prepare roast beef, soak in a small mixture of liquid smoke, garlic and onion powder, paprika and pinch of salt and pepper. You do not need a whole lot of this seasoning blend. Liquid smoke is a stronger seasoning and should be used sparingly. It shouldnt even submerge the beef, mainly just enough to cover what you are using beef wise, if theres a lil extra liquid thats okay, just make sure its not a whole lot :D Let that sit while you prep some more

2a. If you do not like liquid smoke, or you are not into a more smokey flavor, or do not have access to it, personally I would then lightly cook the roast beef in some butter and the seasonings i mentioned. you do not have to do this for long , its more of just ensuring that seasoning sticks to the beef and you get a better texture in the sliders ( idk how it would taste with seasonings straight on the meat no nothing xD) You then just let them rest because you will come back to these.

2b. Chop and cook onions if you want that on your sliders, it is optional and this would be the best time to do this as it gives time for the meat to marinate if you want them. After they are fully cooked to how you like your onion you can put them off the heat and put them to the side.

Creating the sliders.

4. Get a non stick pan or you can get some spray on a baking sheet. First layer is all the bottoms of the pretzel buns. Then the 1000 island dressing, and then onions (both optional) then following that, the beef and then cheese and then top bun! After that melt some butter and brush or if you dont have food brush you can just use a spoon and spread it as best you can on each sandwich!

5. After that, throw that into the oven for about 15/20 mins, or until the tops of the pretzel bun are golden brown and you are done ! Give a couple mins to cool and enjoy! I think the best part about this recipe is that you can really make as many as you want so like if you are feeling like not having to do too much, you really don't have to do all that with this one. I think the most time consuming would either being the onions or waiting for it to be ready xD but even then the onion is optional, so it saves you even more time xD

AHA I CAN FINALLY SHARE MY FAVOURITE (and traditional-ish) CAKE AGAIN!
(I'm sorry for the metric system)

Baked Parkin

ingredients

- 170g self-raising flour
- pinch of salt
- 3 tablespoons ground ginger
- 2 teaspoons nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon mixed spice
- 120g oat flakes
- 250g golden syrup
- 75g black treacle
- 150g unsalted butter (plus extra for greasing)
- 150g soft dark brown sugar
- 2 medium eggs, beaten
- 25ml milk

method

- Pre-heat the oven to 140C/275F/Gas Mark 1. Grease a 30x20cm cake tin and line with greaseproof paper.

- Sieve the flour, salt ginger and nutmeg and mixed spice together into a large bowl. Mix in the oats.

- Place the syrup, treacle, butter and soft brown sugar in a small saucepan and melt over a gentle heat, but do not boil. Stir into the flour mixture.

- Mix in the beaten eggs and milk to create a soft, almost pouring consistency. Pour into the buttered tin.

- Bake for 1-1.25 hours until firm in the centre. Remove from the oven and leave in the tin for 5-10 minutes before turning out.

Tastes best after leaving it to rest for 2-3 days! It's a dense cake that works best around late Oct-mid Nov.
