Snuff or extreme horror film lovers (Warning: It's extremely long and goes into dark topic like brutal murder and r*pe, and fetishes as the title suggest. So be cautious.)
Already, I feel like I don't need to go into complete detail or explain why people like this could piss me off. Especially since there is no way to defend liking something so disgusting. If you like snuff or extreme horror. You can just ignore me. But since I'm talking about it, I can get into how deep my hatred for people like this runs. I also wanted to start off by saying that I understand there are people out there who have been very traumatized and tend to find comfort in these types of films. I can say I understand, but when I talk about this, I do not have an open mind for anyone who defends watching or enjoying these types of movies or films.
An extreme horror film doesn't really need to be explained. Especially since it's in the title. Examples of these types of films are Terrifier 1-3, Salo, Human Centipede, A Serbian Film, and Megan is Missing. (While Megan is Missing is not as extreme as some movies I'm going to talk about because of my deep hatred for the film, and they share the same elements.) I hate these types of films because they are unnecessarily gruesome. especially against women. Sometimes the brutality can make it feel like you're watching someone do terrible things in such a terrible way. Unlike an usual horror movie, when you actually have something going on, a plot, characters you can like. But these types of films just don’t have that. Most horror films can be gruesome, but the film makes it watchable and enjoyable. That's what a horror film is kind of supposed to do. Sure, sometimes the grizzly scene can scare you and creep you out, but then again, that's what a horror film is supposed to do. So what's the issue?
The issue is simple, it’s very concerning to watch and enjoy these films, and also defend the film director. Especially the film " Megan is Missing”. The movie is basically about these two young girls (Megan, 14, and Amy, 13). One of the girls, Megan, makes plans to meet up with a stranger she met online. Then she gets kidnapped, and later on, her friend also. Then it leads to some disturbing videos and photos, and then we see Megan's c*rpse. And her friend gets buried alive with the c*rpse. I found this film very stupid and try-hard, but some people defend it, saying it's a cautionary tale for young girls about the dangers of meeting strangers on the internet and growing up too fast. But to me, it's handled in such a terrible way. Many movies have done this before, and have done a better job at it without having to be so brutal. It feels more like an excuse to let someone act out their weird fantasies. Especially since there was a r*pe scene against the young character Amy, which feels unnecessary and didn't need to be filmed when we can put two and two together and already come up with the things this character has probably gone through. (Along with the fact that the actor who played Josh, the kidnapper, cursed at the director. For having him re-film the scene many times.)
R*pe and brutality against woman or a very recurring thing in these films. There are so many times when I could watch someone do a brief cover over a disturbing film, and I can hear the word "r*pe" More times than I need to, non-stop on a coverage about more than one film. Along with a random fetish that the creator doesn't even try to hide (I'm talking about the bastard Lucifer Valentine, I fucking hate you.) But the people who enjoy this type of thing are the most concerning. You enjoy watching these very realistic and unnecessarily extremely violent films about using violence against woman feels more or so like a way of taking your deep fetish and dark fantasies out. Indulging in films like these, in my opinion, makes it even worse. I extremely hate the people who you can call out on their weird, gross obsession with these types of films and will tell you they don't care, or that you are sensitive or they just have an interest in seeing how bodies do whatever or whatever other excuse they have far in their ass. It's all just a cover-up. While i can say there has been movies I've seen that are extreme horror, i did find a way to enjoy them, but the difference is that it wasn't about the brutality it also had a plot that pulled you in and was still trying to scare you like a horror movie should (*cough* Martyrs 2008 *cough* you should watch it if you feel like you can can handle some extreme things. *cough* also, Tetsuo: The Iron Man).
If you know you are not well, and you enjoy things like this. Please find help and talk to someone. If you are one of the people who enjoy these types of films because you find "comfort" in them. Please find a substitute for this kind of behavior. That is all.

Yeah, I haven't watched Megan Is Missing, but I did read the plot on Wikipedia and watched some scenes on Tiktok. I find the movie so unnecessarily gruesome and explicit. The r*pe scene was around 2 or 3 minutes. Way too long. I am not a horror fan, because I am a scaredy cat, so I won't say what 'good' horror is. Yet again, horror with jumpscares is 10000x better than gore with the title 'horror' sticked onto it.
