I don't know where to start, this album is one one of my favourites of all time. Start to finish from the first second until the last, there isn't a single thing I don't absolutely Love about this album.

Released in June of 2004, produced by the amazing Howard Benson, while this album did suffer from the Loudness Wars of the 2000s it is still absolutely amazing, and they did a remaster in 2025 which sounds really good as well, but the original holds a very special place in my heart.

I love the whole concept of the album and the general vibe to it, the punchy rhythm guitars and the lead octaves are a staple of this record and MCR's sound in general.

The whole Demolition Lover story is deeply tragic and moving and once you learn about the story, it changes the way you listen to this album. Gerard Way is an amazing artist, musician and story writer. This album paved the way for their biggest and my favourite album of all time The Black Parade, but this album will continue to be one of my favourites and I will keep coming back to it day after day.
