Repairing my sister's old 3DS (Part 2/2) *it's fucked*

So, the donor 3DS finally arrived on the 9th of April, and I transplanted the board into it. However, there was one major complication. When I was inserting the ribbon cable connector latch for the top screen snapped off, which meant that there was no way to make sure the top display ribbon cable stays in place. My worst fear was confirmed when I powered on the console, it booted up, and the bottom display worked perfectly, and so did everything else, but the top display was completely blank. The bad thing is that the connector is directly on the motherboard, so the only way to fix it would be to replace the entire board or transfer the data to a new 3DS. I could maybe solder on a new connector (wouldn't know where to get that part though + I'm not great with soldering and I don't have the equipment right now), so I think I'm gonna let that 3DS just sit unused as it was before for a while, but at least when I have the skills and equipment to do so, it'll probably be fixed.
