Making and Talking to Friends

I feel like so many social media platforms, they're sooo many people you COULD talk to but I feel like no one talks to each other anymore like constantly, not counting like one off comments. Now this isn't purely an internet problem, I have to take blame to an extent since I am a very shy person who doesn't put themselves into social setting with people Im not familiar with but I feel like even with my flaws it shouldnt be too hard to talk to new people. When it comes to being online though, I feel like I'm an open enough person for people to talk to but my problem is I'm not a good sentence starter cuz it feels awkward to go out of my way to speak to someone I barely know just to either get left on seen or responded to dryly. Idk guys I'm cool I promise I just have bad social skills 😭😭😭
