Guitar Progress Update (Pt.3)

Intro

Hey, again! It's been about 3 months since my last entry; however, the amount of progress I've made is astronomical! My fingers are also starting to blister and potentially callous, so I am really proud of myself. I've also been learning more songs like "join Me In Death" by HIM and "Jolene" by Dolly Parton.

Progress & Struggles

Barre chords are officially a hurdle I have jumped or am jumping over because I feel and hear my fingers gaining that strength and muscle memory! The problem I face most now is stretching my fingers across a bunch of frets, ex. C#m. My finger just need to get that muscle memory in for those ones. I am also making progress on my chord changing. I'm proud to say I am getting better at recognizing fingers that don't need to move to the next chord and keeping them there, ex. Am to F, Em to G, etc.

Moving forward This Month

I am going to try to work out my fingers, go down drills of chords, and just overall get more comfortable with playing the guitar, not just playing the chords. I believe I am getting to a point where I can just play around and flow with whatever my hands will let me produce. I just hope I can get to a level where I can thrash around like Frank Iero someday lol.
