Anotha one - Ruen Brothers Concert #3 (04/13/2026)

I got to go see the Ruen Brothers again on Saturday!
I originally wasn't gonna go but my friend that I met the last time I went to see them bought me a ticket and offered me a ride!!!

Right away when we got there we got to talk with one of the brothers, Henry, like, instantly and I got to give him some bracelets I made for him and his brother, Rupert. I didn't get a picture of the finished bracelets but since we were in Detroit and they have a song about Detroit, called Motor City, I spelled out "Motor City" on the bracelets and included a bead made of Fordite, a "gem" made out of old car paint that was dumped by car companies before pollution laws were stricter. 
I also made some other bracelets with song titles from their album "All My Shades of Blue", which is probably one of my favorite albums rn. 
The opening band that night was okay, It was all instrumental music which isn't always my favorite. I enjoy instrumental but I typically have to be in the mood for it. They did play with the ruen brothers themselves though and the inclusion of their instruments added a lot to their music! 
I greatly enjoyed the arrangements at this concert fr. 
The song playing on this post is the Ruen Brothers cover of Golden Brown by The Stranglers 
They've played it every time I've seen them and it's one of my absolute favorites of theirs ^^

They played so many of my favorites and a lot of their songs off of their latest album. Here' some pictures from the main concert! :

 This next picture is my favorite because it's taken from an angle when they had us crouch down during a part of one of their songs and I love the expression on Henry's face in it, the vibes are just amazing in it ^^ 
During another part of the concert they had us get out our lighters and phones out and I was able to get a fun picture of that ^^  (ft. the guy right behind me who looks like hes staring into my camera omg)

After The concert we stuck around and got to say hi to the band again, this time both of the brothers, and it was really nice to see them again having met them before and also having interacted with them on and off on instagram ^^ 
One of my best friends interacted with them the night before at their concert in Ohio so we got to have a fun little conversation like "so n so says hi" with them lol. They also showed us the bracelets that my friend had made for them which was really wholesome ToT 
At the merch table I bought a signed vinyl of their album Awooo! I asked them to also sign the lyric sheet and i'm sooooo happy to have gotten this record fr- I've been dreaming about it ever since they released their second single from this album TwT and the record itself is jsut absolutely stunning :

I had soooooo much fun at this concert, I was so happy that I was able to go and I am looking forward to the next time I get to see them!
I highly recommend these guys if you like chiller alternative/ rock type music. They're heavily influenced by sounds from classic rock and early English punk music and there's definitely plenty of tracks that let that sound shine through.

I didn't mention it here at first because I was so excited talking about the band but they were playing my hockey game at the bar when we got there! I got to watch the whole thing for free, which is amazing because I can't watch the Red Wings often. We were doing well in these pictures but ultimately ended up losing :( 
I'm just really happy that I got to see my favorite team and then one of my favorite bands fr lmao
