I think Sam Reid is a good singer but Long Face is just disappointing to me. Lestat has been alive and absorbing music and fucking about for centuries and this is what he produces? People online says its like David Bowie or Freddie Mercury but I can hardly see it. Maybe a little bit, but in a shallow imitation way, rather than a counterpart.
Maybe it's just the demented part of my mind that wants him to sound like Goth Rock or Glam Metal, but I find even QotD 2002's nu-metal preferable (even if I think there's no world in which Lestat would be caught dead w the likes of Korn)

I was hoping it would sound like ACTUAL music instead of music made for the purpose of a TV show, if that makes sense??? For example, it's the difference between a pop song in a MUSICAL and a pop song made by an artist. Like... it's just a generic rock song (NOT A BAD SONG THO)

Yes, you put it into words! I was just so disappointed bc everyone was so hype for it and then it was. Fine.
I read the book a while ago so I knew about the weird thing w his mom, I’m just hoping they don’t crank up the sex on that particular relationship
