healing & weird fishes / arpeggi by radio

i dont know why i didnt listen to the full album earlier but holy shit in rainbows by radiohead is so fucking good!!! my absolute favourite is weird fishes / arpeggi :)

i feel like it captures my life so well right now. i mean, i dont know, maybe it isnt supposed to be interpreted the way i see it but i guess thats the beautiful thing about art, you can interpret it in so many ways. i feel like it captures the point im at. like yeah, shit has been so fucking hard, i tried killing myself like 6 times in a year (this was back in 2023. im not at a significant risk anymore), and yeah, maybe i still want to sometimes, but im not. things are hard, they will always be hard but its what makes life worth living - that push to continue is what makes it all worth it. do i still feel so lonely and like im just completely isolated at times? hell yeah i do, but im more confident in myself than ever. im more than comfortable with being alone now. and because of that im building a group of people around me who see me, but who i dont depend on - im developing stable, healthy relationships now. its no longer "i need you to wake up in the mornings. i am nothing without you," its "I love hanging out with you." its that simple.

to put it simply, i interpret weird fishes /arpeggi as knowing its hard but trying to recover anyway.

it gets better. it gets so much fucking better. hang on.
