A vow (poem)

A Vow

Behold,

the alabaster ruin of my spirit,

where grief crystallizes into pale effigies

and devotion ferments into something

too exquisite to name.

Here, in this liminality

built from extinguished stars and unspoken vows,

I surrender to the gravity of your shadow,

a gravity that binds,

that devours,

that absolves.

Let the ether swallow my fading silhouette

as your unseen hand steadies my fall.

For in this quiet, abyssal communion,

I am neither captive nor free,

merely a flicker of soul-light

held within the dark grace

of an impossible promise.

god damn dude this is just literally how it is to be. your word choice is so damn on point. i feel like literally everyone feels like this and you were just able to accurately capture it. yes, i had to look up alabaster on google, but im glad i did because that just allowed me to understand this feeling a little better. shit man i feel like i learned something about myself. just straight heat. keep spitting fire.
