An Ode to 2000s Makeup

Nothing quenches my thirst for 2000s content like a YouTube makeup tutorial. From the crappy camcorder quality to the overplucked eyebrows, the vibe it gives off is totally unmatched. Sometimes when I need a little guidance on how to prep my face, I just open up YouTube and dig deep in the app for one of these tutorials. The authenticity and seriousness that these girls approached their videos with is truly admirable! You can tell just how much they cared about sharing their techniques with the world in a straightforward fashion. No ads, no sponsors...just a girl and her makeup bag in the comfort of her messy, vibrant bedroom. As much as I try to emulate that same feeling in my own day-to-day life, nothing will ever top the feeling that these videos elicit.
