CURRENT ROBLOX UPDATE STUFF : I hate roblox rn

I will link multiple videos at the end that will somewhat explain the current Roblox situation, and if anyone has google docs speaking on the matters of the current Roblox situation, please comment the link so it can be added to this doc.

This doc is not fully going into the problems talked about, this is a basic skim of all the problems on roblox I have found recently. This doc will be going over these points, in order of importance to myself.

Predator Problem

Roblox has a major Predator problem, with the community groups having multiple easy ways to find minors. Many predators find children from 6-14 on Roblox, on Discord servers revolving around Roblox communities, and even through roblox games, like the recently re-added Friend Me.

There is also a large number of roblox Moderators, Admins, and Content creators that have been found to be messaging sexual content or requesting sexual content with minors, I have personally met and chatted with some that I did not know the intentions of at the time. I will not be disclosing their usernames at this time until I have finalized a document over their misconducts.

In addition to the predators themselves, Roblox seems to be taking the wrong side. I'm sure if you are reading this you know and understand the shlep situation, but there are other predator hunters that have been banned or restricted as well. Roblox developers that are known predators, including SoulDrivenLove (The 2nd or 3rd owner of Forsaken before he sold it to Hytoko and Basil), still have their accounts and no actions are being made to suspend or ban them.

This is disgusting, and the fact a company with its main audience being that of mostly preteens or younger is not only not doing anything about its predator problem, it is adding to the problem by reinstating games minors can be contacted by adults in, and banning predator hunters from its platform instead of handling the situation.

Age Verification

I know most of the people that play roblox have age verified already, even if I personally did not I still am at risk if I ever do verify. The company Roblox, Discord, VR chat, Linkedin, and many other large online corporations use, Persona, has been leaked to have sold majority if not all of the data it has collected (Including Face scans, ages, and ID's). This data has also been given to the US Government.

Let me rephrase this so it makes more sense, Roblox and Discord both literally leaked millions if not billions of children's private information to the government, other companies, and maybe even predators.

Not to mention, with age verification being AI moderated, many children have been flagged as 20+ by literally drawing a beard on their face. This system is broken in so many levels and needs to be updated or replaced with something far more secure if roblox is going to continue hosting a gaming platform with children as its primary audience.

Moderation

The moderation on roblox has been about the same since they removed safe chat, and the same as apps like Discord and Telegram. It is notoriously horrible, especially with the majority of it being AI. Roblox is a multi-million dollar company with the staff and the money to pay for human moderation, yet David Baszucki still chooses to moderate a game platform with AI that has many obvious faults in its security. Again, many moderators have been found to be pedophiles, and the roblox hiring process has never been the greatest.

This is also relevant to Game discord servers. In the last year the Forsaken Discord server has been hacked twice to my knowledge, and we were very lucky the hacker was not interested in raiding it with explicit images or worse. However, the staff of the server have before; Ignored my request (With screenshots) to ban a pedophile from their game, Ignored my friends report on the same pedophile, and their old owner was also- a pedophile. Other servers have problems with minors interacting in ERP (Erotic Role Play) with both other minors and adults through DMs or private servers they find via DMs. With many of the community using the community servers to send links of their private servers through DMs.

Majority of Roblox developers are the ones tasked to moderate their game(s), which is not in itself the problem, rather the fact that some are abusing it to ban or report users they do not like, or, in some cases, gain access to minors information through sending them links or using their game to send private messages to them. Many condo games do this, but I will not be going into Condo games at this time.

Company Control

Roblox has multiple investors, some of which have put so much into the company that they have a say in safety concerns and updates they should not. The Vanguard group and Blackrock inc have significant shares in the company. This is a website that has all of the investor information if you would like to review it yourself. Roblox has also done multiple Collabs with companies like IKEA, Gucci, Walmart, Puma, and NHL, as well as multiple content creators over the years as well.

Due to new content regulation laws in places like the US and the Philippines, Roblox has had to age restrict the majority of its platform. The company they used for verification was recently leaked for selling private information about minors. I will not go over this much, but all companies that are connected to roblox in some way, most likely have a say in decisions.

Not much is known about this, but it is a topic I would like to see more about considering how little coverage I see of the company's allies and who is truly making these decisions.

AI Usage

AI is used in so much of roblox’s platform, from moderation to company emails to their new update over classic to dynamic faces. It is no surprise with how much AI has taken over that it has some involvement in a large scale company like Roblox, however that does not excuse the way it is being used.

I have already spoken about the roblox moderation, and company emails being sent by bots are mostly normal. That being said, there are some emails that should be handled by humans, that are currently being handled by AI bots or automation. Emails about stolen games, plagiarism of games and code, stolen robux, hacked accounts, and much more is being auto-handled by AI in some cases, and this is obvious if you email roblox about a situation such as an account being hacked or something of the sort.

As for their newest update about the Classic to Dynamic face change, majority of the old faces have been replaced with dynamic faces made with roblox’s AI and many of the limited classic faces have lost a good majority of their worth because of this update. Not only that, but the changes themselves are so obvious and such a downgrade in some cases.

Current Updates

This is going to be the big one, the reason it's so low is because of how I don’t want to talk about all of them, but I will be going over the classic to dynamic faces, the stock market, and the limited changes.

So, I briefed you all about the classic to dynamic faces earlier, but I will go more in depth about it now. Currently, the classic faces are gone, the links for them are all replaced with the dynamic head links. The Dynamic heads? They look like shit and no one really wanted them while knowing classics would be removed. The items paid for are now deleted, and replaced by something often not the same or even close.

The stock market for roblox has gone as low as 60% because of these updates. From the age verification to updated moderation changes, The stock market may go down even more due to continuous bad updates. Along with the rumors they might delete the R6 model (I personally believe they will delete them since they lied about the classic faces staying at first), there are many other bad upcoming updates. Most bad for Content creators and roblox devs.

On to limiteds, the rate for classic face limiteds has gone down up to 40%, they just aren’t worth that much anymore with how disliked roblox’s decisions are right now and how the new update will affect them. Trading limiteds and really just owning one is something roblox is known for, now a lot of the value for some of the most looked for limiteds has dropped a lot.

The David Baszucki Situation

The majority of anyone reading this probably has a twitter and has seen what david baszucki is dealing with. The cursed images are coming back strong and going a bit too far. Baszucki was also doxed, along with what is assumed to be a family member of his. I do not know what was exactly on the document as I did not see it myself, but I know some of my friends have and spoke to me about what they saw.

I do not know much on this subject, all I know is there have been death threats over a game platform. I understand the anger, believe me, but this has gone a little far already.
