found family is awesome

I think it is a wonderful feeling to be chosen into a family.

I have a friend who I've become close with in the last two years time, and she has a boyfriend that I'm also becoming friends with. They're at the age and stage of their relationship where they want to have kids together and I think that's wonderful.

What gets me about this is that, of course I'll be the kids uncle. And I love that there isn't even a question about it, that she considers me so close that she wants to involve me in her family.

My parents have also had friendships like this with friends where me, my sibling and their kids have always thought we were family since we were so close, and I love that I get to have that as an adult too.

I love that I get to be involved in these people's lives and I feel honored that they let me be so close to them. There's just something special about found family in this way. Idk, just wanted to share my thoughts on it.
