Join groups, participate on forums (make a forum, comment), blog about whatever you want i.e. life, shows, music; follow other people's blogs when you find them interesting, comment on those. You can chat with people, upload photos (sadly only on blogs for now), it's a social media so be social. You have to curate your own experience and go find stuff.
For instance, I personally think questions and general observations should go on forums since they're made for random people to interact like this. Blogs are supposed to be more personal, maybe more insightful and/or intimate, more of an observation or a take, a rant or just telling people about your day. But I guess users check the blogs more, so people here use them as forums.
