multimutt log-0.0: introduction + goals

Heeeelllooooooo again~~~

Still figuring out blogging on here so bear w me while I figure out stuff-

Ahem, anyways:

As the subject states, this is gonna be an introduction to (hopefully) a series documenting a project I´ve wanted to start on for a couple of years now, my intent w this is to quit slacking n start working towards my goal !! >:]]

For this I need to acquire a set of skills so that´s what this will be about !! keeping track of progress to 1 keep me motivated n 2 be able to look back on hehe

Expect lots of trial n error and, of course, rambles inbetween !

My goal is to be able to build the perfect plush of my favorite fictional character, Multimutt !!

I have divided test projects by steps to get there, but I´ll get into that in a bit.

The things I have to learn for this project that I can think of are:

1. sewing

2. patterning

3. building volumes

4. making rubber faces n details

5. colouring said rubber the best way so it lasts

(as you can see this is gonna be a loooong term project and I´ll be doing it inbetween life so it´s gonna take a long time, but I wanna work for it !)

For this I´ve broken the goal into small steps to get there, with tinier, easier projects to build up skills for when it comes to elaborating my big guy x]

These are, of course:

1. for sewing- Komasan n Komajiro (their bodies seem the easiest considering the lack of complicated volumes to figure out, but you never know I suppose !)

2. for volumes n rubber casting- Dandoodle seems like a much higher step compared to last one but, unlike Manjimutt, it´s just a rubber face n not a head + I have no accesories like glasses to worry about. Manjimutt I might experiment w modding pre-existing plushies and focus slowly on rubber parts while Dandoodle will be the getting used to figure out volumes challenge.

3. ofc last one I consider something I´ll touch after lots of practice w sewing n patterning, for those I´ll probs either pattern and mod pre-existing plushies or attempt to build 2D characters to 3D, being this inbetween the longest step between lil projects I think, though rubber seems tough too.

4. colouring will go w point 2 as well, in general trial and error w materials is also gonna be something I´ll have to figure out as I go.

5. finally, tackling the big one: having found somewhat of a process, create the perfect plush of Multimutt, finding the perfect weight balance in his shapes etc, proportion stuff~

And bonus Sir Berus plushies are, ofc, a must once I figure the Multimutt pattern <3

Hope I actually go through with this project n hope you all enjoy this series once I have more stuff to share, I´m excited !!

Thanks for reading if you did, I know it´s a long one, have a nice day !! <333333
