too perfect to be likeable.

so, i’ve been reading a saga recently ( hyperversum ) and, even tho i really like the trope and the writing, i just can’t stand the main character.

he’s WAY TOO perfect. like, he doesn’t have any flaws, not even a little stupid one. NOTHING !

he’s the perfect hero with perfect morality, he’s strong, smart and gentle. he’s an amazing husband, and friend and leader and warrior and student and worker and OH MY GOD i want to punch him in the face.

i would prefer him to be morally grey, or maybe insecure, or someone thats really smart but not that strong ( or the opposite ); or even maybe someone who is a coward.

but no, he’s perfect.
