 i seriously dont even know how to start this post without sounding completely dramatic but my entire house has turned into a NON-STOP J-ROCK CONCERT HALL and im literally counting the days like its the apocalypse T_T

so picture this: my mom has been on a Buck-Tick listening streak for like 5 DAYS STRAIGHT NOW (yes FIVE. FULL. DAYS.) and she is 100% gone. like head-over-heels, heart-eyes-emoji, "this man is my soulmate" obsessed with Atsushi Sakurai (rip the king with the deepest sexiest voice in existence 💔). its all Dress all the time. i wake up in the morning and the first thing i hear is that smooth "kagami no mae de..." floating down the hallway like some seductive gothic whisper. i try to eat left overs and suddenly the dramatic guitar kicks in and im just standing there in my lazy clothes like "...mom its 8am pls". i go to take a shower? nope. the bathroom echoes with "Dress me up in your love"  and im questioning all my life choices.

every few minutes she pauses the song just to sigh dramatically and go "mars... listen to how he sings this part... doesn't his voice just melt you?? its like dark chocolate and velvet and pure sin all mixed together"(okay she really didn't say this but it feels like that when she listens to him) and im sitting there eating food like "yes mom he sounds like a mysterious vampire prince who could ruin your life in the hottest way possible but can we PLEASE maybe listen to something that isnt 1993 visual kei for five seconds before my brain fully turns into Buck-Tick lyrics???" lmao. she is out here speedrunning becoming a die-hard visual kei fan (shes been one since she was 12? like since 2003...22 years holy shit!!)  its her new full-time job. she watches old live videos on youtube, points out his stage presence (which is apparently "hot" according to her), and tells me random facts about the band like i have a test on it tomorrow. "did you know he was inspired off of vash from TRIGUN???" yes mom. i know. because you told me 3 times today.

we are officially on day 5 and ive started keeping a mental scoreboard. every time the song ends i hold my breath and pray for mercy... i mean I will admit it is a banger song but I swear T-T shes IN LOVE with that man...I keep joking about him to her
