i wish majority of true crime fans weren't 13 years old edgelord toddlers who make 67 and skibidi edits of white generic school shooters and drop racial slurs every five minutes UGHH where are the genuinely mature and interesting fans of niche cases who want to analyze/research them together without acting like kpop stans over fucking serial killers?? especially the tumblr side of the community is fucked, thats why i never want to join the community because all these mfs do is post slop and talk about how much they want to shaboink the same tasteless, generic white guys over and over again. npc ass people i swear

COMPLETELY AGREE. i'd even trade the state of the TCC now for the stupid anorexic wristslitting attention whores that ran the community back in 2015, at least they posted actual info, cases, new stuff, opinions. they had shit to say, even if some of them were utterly deluded (both derogatory and literal). everyone in mainstream TCC these days is literally just an edgy fucking braindead teenager and the two american kids who got arrested for planning to stab a classmate to "revive adam lanza" are a perfect example.

yeah they were trying to resurrect him, apparently the boy looked a LOT like lanza and they stalked him, obsessed over him, took pictures... they were going to stab him to bring back lanza's soul or have him serve as a vessel or some shit, i haven't looked into it because i find the whole thing so ignorantly juvenile and stupid and feel honestly quite bad for the attempted victim. if you want you can search Lake Brantley High School, should show up, but yeah.
