Eyes scan the crowd

it wasn’t better before

My throat closes up, the words don’t dare to bubble out

I lift my head out of the water,

even though i secretly wish to drown

I stay sedentary

while everyone else walks out

I don’t think anyone wants to be around me

My head lets me know that there is no invisible string

I put the dagger into my own heart

but there’s always someone else to blame
