Oh, well, that makes sense. She uses smoking as an escape, to feel less anxious, but ends up becoming dependent and addicted. xP

SAME, it started cause of stress and depression and now its just stuck with me, i need this oc to have lore, like when did they start smoking?

Oh, well... I think it started in her teens, around 15 or 16 years old. Initially, it wasn't really with the goal of regulating her emotions, but rather it was out of mere curiosity since her boyfriend used to smoke and she thought 'wow, so cool'. Her boyfriend actually started enticing her first with beer and cigarettes, 'light' things, and she felt so grown-up, like, 'this cool, mature guy is treating me like an adult too. He doesn't underestimate me.' But he started encouraging her to do drugs and she thought it was so much fun, even though she knew it wasn't doing her any good, but 'she could control it and handle it', she wouldn't become addicted, right?

But the character's point is essentially body horror focused on motherhood and social commentary :P

starting at around 15 ish is early but there are people who start even earlier, sadly
i like how its more influenced on to her by wanting to seem all cool and mature, really brings out the fact that she was still a kind during all of this, i will invest heavily into this oc, i love them already
