POEM DROPP!!, call me Sushi`Nopath (ref to sylvia path obvs)

I submitted my entry for my school board's e-magazine context, oh and hi -- The theme was water resources pretty sure mine won't get chosen out of all the idk 900 smth recognised schools and thousands of better english writers(students). But I shall be honoured with glee to share my poem on "Water resources". I present you the marvel of 15 minute, low effort, sleepy writing and action (read it in an irish or british somber/ melancholic accent).

The Liquid Archive: A Poem on Water Resources

Cisterns chiseled into ancient rock,

Afore, groundwater once reigned as a sovereign.

Through Rajasthan's multi-layered descent,

enlight the care that nature bestowed.

Stepwells seek out the silver stream,

Collecting each drop of rainfall.

A holy spring, a quiet chamber,

Where the sounds of waves gently linger.

Contemporarily, the oceans bear a burden,

A fate like  "message in a bottle."

Amid Y2K era and plastic casings,

the growing wave of history rises.

Ice core preserves, a frozen whisper,

menacing drought threatening  a dry demise.

From towering mountain peaks to deep subterranean water,

the commitments we need to uphold echo.

If rivers dry up and wells become empty,

The rhythm of life will stop flowing.

The "blue gold" disappears from the glass,

As the desert's seasons go by.

The aquifer is gasping, low,

Where once, the living currents, flow.

Billowed from soul, let's shield

In mirrors, of a mossy, green,

An Edenic resource, through we thrive.
