i think the wii is genuinely the best nintendo console of like, all time. it had some of the most charming and memorable games, functions, and soundtracks and as much as i love the nintendo switch, i feel like there's something so special about the wii (and the DS by extension, but i only had one when i was less than six years old before we got rid of it). the wii also introduced me to gaming in general, and i feel like a lot of fellow gen-z's can relate. with the switch and the switch 2 i feel like nintendo began degrading into more capitalist ideals which breaks my heart, ESPECIALLY with the switch 2. the switch 2 just feels like yet another corporation with yet another cool new product. but the wii felt so special—like it wasn't trying so hard for money, but genuinely wanted to connect people with a fun experience. i feel like part of that was also Mr. Satoru Iwata's presence; he had a huge impact on Nintendo and it feels different without him yknow? i really miss the wii and i wish we could go back, because it was so wonderful </3

I completely get it! The Wii holds a special place in my heart, I still have my family's og Wii in my room! I still remember how my younger siblings and I would sneak out of our rooms in the middle of the night to play on it with one another. Maybe I'm just longing for a time that can never return, but I genuinely believe it was one of the best consoles to ever exist! ✧。٩(ˊᗜˋ )و✧*。
