°❀⋆.ೃ࿔* Heyy everyone! It's the2000snerd, and in this blog I'm going to share some of my recent thoughts and things I figured out in life and still want to figure out. If you have me as a friend on SpaceHey, you may know that I share a lot about my life. Obviously, not the most personal things ever: that would be weird for a teenager, but I do tell people a lot about me. That's why I want to write a long blog about myself and how I'm doing in life.
If you were to ask someone in real life who knows me, how I am in real life and online, these words could be told to you:
'Loud, sweet, helpful, funny, cheerful, optimistic, ambitious, studious.'
I find myself indeed, all of these things. It really describes me. And of course, I have a bad side, just like everybody. I sometimes can be very direct and even a bit mean if you annoy me (although that can also be because I'm Dutch, and we don't sugarcoat things). I am a little messy, I make jokes irl that might make some people here mad if I made them on SpaceHey, I can be pretty snarky, and I'm quite overzealous. Would that make me a bad person? My answer is: no, it makes me completely normal.
Now that we are talking about normal, I have a question for you. Do you find yourself normal? Okay, I'm being a bit mean, as this is a rhetorical question. It's not that I want you to say either 'Yes, I am completely normal!' when I know that you are lying to me, or this 'No, I don't consider myself normal' where you either still are lying to me, or are giving me an answer I already know. I just want you to think about it.
I don't consider myself normal, but I don't consider myself abnormal. I know that I am a cool person; people have told me that, and I fully believe in it, but I have seen people who are a thousand times cooler than I am. While it doesn't bother me, it does make me wonder how other people think about it.
At the beginning of 2026, I wrote a blog about my 2000s lifestyle and how I deal with it. Where a lot of people just like the aesthetics, I decided to throw my life fully upside down and start living like the 2000s. Even though I wasn't born yet in the 2000s (I was born in 2010), I have done plenty of research on the decade and still continue to do that.
- I no longer use my phone for more than 2 hours each day. And when I use it, it's either for calling friends or family, banking, or school.
- I try to pirate as much of my media (books, movies, series, music). Things are getting more expensive, minute by minute, and a lot of people can't afford subscriptions/physical novels anymore, including me, since I don't have an income yet as a teenager. That's why I started pirating my content. Obviously, I try to support the artist as much as possible with other actions, such as not pirating brand-new movies or books, but I do pirate. Sorry!
- I started to use more analog/one-purpose devices. That includes my e-reader, my hot pink MP3 player, a crossword book, a commonplace journal, my regular journal, and physical agendas.
- I swear with tech-free mornings! It lowers your cortisol SO BADLY, and being on your phone in the morning is honestly a waste of your time.
- I never really use TikTok anymore, and starting to watch long-term videos and read a lot, which caused me to not like short-form content anymore. I get bored with it. Can you imagine a Gen Z teenager saying this? Well, now you have!
If you have read my full blog, thank you so much! I really appreciate it.
If you liked it, could you please drop a kudo and maybe a comment? By doing that, I can see that you support me. Thanks!!

I do consider that! I have a private blog full of recommendations from books written in the 2000s, but I have to finish that still. I'll let you know when it's released :)
