A Man Who Has Nothing To Think About Except Thoughts

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!

Here's just a rant I had. Not much.

I will preface this by saying that this is not a vent. I simply had a thought and a sudden urge to share it. Likewise, this is not a debate, nor is it a story or tale, although some may consider it so, as if it were to be a tale, it would be of itself. I don't intend to place myself as higher than or different to any other. Everyone is their own person, something that will expanded on. This is my personal and subjective viewpoint on the topic.

Reading this probably won't give some sort of revelation.

Everybody, including myself, thinks, or at least I hope so. We as a species think a lot. I like to devote time to thinking. I tell myself it helps me concentrate later on in the day, though I still zone out a lot. One of what I think is the most basic thoughts is the narrator, a dictation of what is occurring in somebody's life. Everybody's narrator is different, generally reflecting their personality. Some people, apparently, don't even have a narrator. This isn't putting them down or anything, I just thought it was odd, coming from a guy with a very loud and consistent narrator.

Something that I find very interesting is other lives, and their narrators. Something Learning about another person is ever so curiosity-inducing, something which is probably some sort of innate human instinct. I would very much like for someone else to understand my narration, a wish I believe many share about their narrations. However, it's probably impossible.

To understand whether a goal is possible or not, you must first understand two things about the goal: what the goal expects and the limitations you have in reaching those expectations. The goal of understanding another's narration requires that you have a full subjective view of their life, specifically THEIR subjectivity, not yours. Of course, this isn't possible as you can't just toss away your biases and replace them with someone elses.

Perhaps a perfectly empathetic person might, but if someone is just a carbon copy of everyone they meet, who are they really? That's not the main topic of this rant, though.

This doesn't mean you shouldn't be sharing your experiences with others, if anything the opposite is true. A goal being labelled as impossible only pushes the people further toward it, if that makes sense. Also, I said the perfect version of it is impossible, not an imperfect, partial version. How do you think relatability exists? At the end of the day you are nothing but YOU, and you forever will be. Everything you will ever know will be passed through YOU, so don't try and mend yourself to others' molds, be the YOU you are meant to be.

TLDR; You are you, but slightly more complicated.

So it might've been a bit more than "not much". My fault, honest mistake.

Anyways, feel free to give your own viewpoints in the comments! I'll try to read them, if there are any.

Yes, the title is referencing the famous saying.

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!

What’s your narration like? I don’t think I have one, not in the literal sense anyway

great question

its similar to a book narrator, i think? sometimes itll be about my physical actions and at other times itll be about my emotions.

overall, it depends on my mood.

Like you hear-think- actual words describing what you're doing or feeling?
I can imagine having full inside conversations though
