I don't miss seeing my Facebook feed being filled with either the dullness of my peers playing keep up or the other extreme of seeing a a camera being shoved in the face of a snotty toddler.
I don't miss seeing my local town group descending into meltdown because someone is parked a bit weird, or that another vape shop has opened.
I don't miss the politics and the division, or people demanding a side must be picked in every little moment.
I'm just vibing and it feels great.

I can totally relate, mate :)) People do anything and everything and post it, as if one cannot live without photos and “capturing every moment.” I find both meta and reddit to be places where people gather just to perform, compare themselves to each other, and spew hatred. This is just my opinion. Also, cheers to the Meta detox. I never used those platforms because of something called internet paranoia :/
I feel you dude. Like for most millennials I think we mainly moved as a herd to Facebook from Myspace and it then became a slow exodus once our parents got on there. I can confirm through a young relative that "Facebook is for old people" so therefore I can't be old if I don't have it!
Meta, Snapchat, Tiktok etc anything with an algorithm I ain't interested in now.

Yeah, it’s all performance and chasing unrealistic standards. Social media has truly altered our perception. It all feels like a gimmick. From birthdays to funerals, these emotionally charged moments are being turned into fodder for the animal called the algorithm.
