Blink-182 Self Titled Review

Blink-182 released their self-titled album in 2003, with Tom DeLonge and Mark Hoppus sharing lead vocals, Tom DeLonge on Guitars, Mark Hoppus on Bass and Travis Barker on drums.

This record is produced by Jerry Finn. (Rest In Peace)

It starts off with Feeling This, which is personally the best song on this record. The ending vocal harmony is just perfect, the bassline is killer, the riff has a nostalgic sound, and as always the drums are perfect. Travis Barker never misses.
The next song, Obvious, is one of the most underrated songs off of their catalogue. It features a rather gloomy vibe, as opposed to the album opener, but still manages to transition perfectly. Again, the vocal harmony towards the end is really good, with Tom having the sole vocal performance here.

The album then takes us to the next track, I Miss You. This acoustic affair is arguably one of their most successful tracks, with 312 Million Views on YouTube and 482 Million Streams on Spotify as of 14th January, 2022.
The next song Violence is again, one of their most underrated tracks. It starts off with electronic beats with heavy guitar strumming slowly building up to the main song. Check out this song if you haven't yet.

The next track is Stockholm Syndrome which is honestly one of the most surprising songs by them. It's incredibly serious, especially if compared to their really early Cheshire-Cat era work. The songwriting is stellar and the lyrics are really good too. The Interlude adds up as a perfect build-up to this song.
Fun Fact: This track was recorded on a vintage microphone dating all the way back to the 1950s.
The next track we have here is Down. Again, the production on this song is just next to perfect. The drum beats by Travis Barker are amazing and suit the song very well and the vocal performances by both Mark and Tom are really good. The ending piano and drum section is the very definition of perfection.
This song transitions to The Fallen Interlude.

Go is more of a straight punk rock song which still manages to not sound out of place in any way.
Asthenia, the next track is another really good track by them. It starts off with transmissions recorded by NASA of the Apollo 9 spaceflight. The guitar's have a really cool effect to them on this track.

Another unappreciated single from this album (first one being Down) is Always. It's a nice New Wave, heavily inspired from 80's music, rock song. The guitar riff during the pre-chorus is basic, but suit the track well. Heavily drowned with effects, they might even come off as synths to some people (at least to me at first)

Easy Target starts off with some really tight sounding drums, and then blasts off with the addition of guitars and bass. This song is pretty decent too, and suits the album well. This song transitions to All Of This, to which I can see the appeal, but I personally find it hard to listen to.

Here's Your Letter is one of those songs you don't even hear about while discussing Underrated Blink-182 Songs. The music is just straight up banger imho.
I'm Lost Without You is the longest Blink-182 song, lasting upto 6 minutes long. Personally I love this song allot, though I can understand why some people would consider this song as dragged.
Overall Verdict: 9/10

Its a slow process but I believe that with subtly namedropping space hey in conversations and acting confident and exclusive about it may attract people to this platform. Plus maybe writing some funny , some serious, etc. Kind of blogs here and sharing links of our blogs on stories may attract and subtly make people familiar with HeySpace
