"Popular girl humor"

I just hate this new little trend of popular girl humor it's just another thing or way to shame woman and it just pisses me off so much because before when a girl posted anything humor-like like there would be some comments that would be saying shit like oh performative or things like women aren't funny or trends over bullshit like that and it's just this never ending hate for women that just like make me so angry because God forbid a woman is a little bit funny like Oh my God I saw this girl the other day post something on tiktok and I'm not even joking I scrolled like twice in the comments and I saw like 5 comments saying popular girl humor just 'cause she was pretty and blonde like dude can we live it's honestly just so stupid and makes me worried because it's not just men doing it it's women commenting the same thing and I usually see this in mostly cases where the girl is like more conventionally attractive so like she's prettier so it just makes me wonder like what's the societal prejudice that we have against pretty girls like there's just always this like stereotype in woman about how pretty women should be you know commercially attractive women should be and how not conventionally attractive women should be and it's just so annoying because like we're all different like I'm sure you'd find as many funny pretty girls as you'd find as many funny not so pretty girls  and vice versa you know what I mean it doesn't matter what you are like I don't know how to explain that I'm just ranting and I have the mic on this probably won't make any sense 'cause there's no quotation marks or commas or any grammar but whatever

I resonate a lot with what you wrote; the objectification of women has always existed, and yet, nowadays misogyny is having a global resurgence... Women are treated as mere sexual objects, as if they aren't themselves able to be anything else but a wife, expected to forever perform a perfect version of femininity while condemning femininity itself. There's no way to win in the patriarchy.

EXACTLY!! and this was literally portrayed so well in the barbie movie in that one scene yet people still brushed past it as if it was nothing. I remember seeing that dialogue and crying because i resonated with it so much, and one of the friends i went to see it with*A GIRL* literally called it a mid movie in the end when it had such a strong message. I hate how a movie with such a powerful message got shruken down to a ken meme, which i admit it was a bit funny but people let it completely overshine everything else to the point where ryan gosling got nominated for an oscar while Greta Gerwig and margot robbie didnt
