Why are you so fucking negative ALL THE TIME

Okay so, this might be the first long blog post i've ever made in my life. I'm truly not the biggest fan of blogging or interacting publicly, my select friends in this site are my only priority and every now and then i feel like adding someone as a friend. Thing is: I've been noticing a pattern.

I want to make it clear that this is but my opinion, I am in no way entitled to picking and choosing what anyone should post. However I very much AM allowed to be bothered by it. Such hypocrisy from my part lol.

The last few times i've checked in on the blog session has showed me nothing but negativity. I lost count on how many different aspects of the community in this site and the etiquette adopted were somehow criticised or complained about and, seriously? it concerns me.

What happened to any other aspect of you guys' lives? i barely ever see anything of the sort anymore. It is always something about how DNI lists suck, or how short posts are annoying, how autoplay pisses them off and so on. Nikolai, if you are, by any chance, reading this, I want you to know that you have the right to express your dislike towards things that don't please you, and I am sure that I do not have to inform you that I too, have the right to disagree.

Personally, it is almost as seeing Twitter in a different layout. Negativity left and right. Even though I was never a fan of blogs myself, I did enjoy reading about minor things every now and then. Learning about Blank's day at school, Dan's first time at a party or Yan's late night poetry was a good part of my stay in this site, yet it feels as if complaints are all I ever see around anymore. Still, I'm inclined to believe that I might just be overreacting.

Although I understand complaints of the sort, for I have some of my own too, it's nonsensical in nature to expect that every blog entry in this site will be an ellaborate blog entry about something widely interesting to anyone else. Spacehey is a public space where anyone is free to interact and post however they choose. The Internet is home to the young, a generation that never had access to the bygone ways of online expression from which this site as a whole originated from. Like the basic rule says, if you dislike something that is not meant to cater to your needs, simply ignore it. Your negativity towards ephemeral things will only cause a chain reaction and lead to more of the same behavior!! No one wants that. Give the teens time to learn how to do it the conventional way, but if it's not what they want to do, just leave them be and interact with the posts that do interest you!! This is how the internet's supposed to be afterall.

Even so, as I said before, my opinion is not a rule, anyone is allowed to disagree. I, on the other hand, am not open to discussing. 

My final notes on the matter are: have some more whimsy and joy over things that don't matter!! Harmless preferences won't cause you any ill at the end of the day.
