stoner girl vs. ghost mobster (yup)

 so uhh for those who don’t know my family’s house is haunted by the former owner. his names pep. he was an old italian guy with mob ties who ran a popular local coffee and spice company (still around, hella good. it’s called seaport coffee and texjoy spices if u can find those somehow).

anywhoot like my mom saw him once. then later saw a photograph of him cos he was kinda locally prominent in the 50s and 60s so that shits around i guess. also moms hella into local history and used to work in it professionally fun fact. anyways he looked the exact same in the pic. trench coat, fedora, clipboard even.

he used to leave the lights on and door open to my dads mancave (normally kept off and shut) cos it used it be his personal office and now it’s home to many rad af he-man ad transformer figures. also many retro games and consoles. and many vintage metal cds and tapes. weird al appears a bit too. 

now my interests make sense. hehe :3

anyways. the real kicker is one night many years ago, my family and i were playing uno. my mom had put on a janis joplin record (local legend fun fact!) and the large fluorescent light fixture in the sunken living room (we were in the dining room, several rooms over but the record player and speakers are in the living room, pictured below) swung open with a loud bang! so my mom declared that pep doesn’t like hippie music, which considering his age etc. it makes sense ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ so mom put on frank sinatra XD

so that leads us to the present.

before i moved out of/back to my mom’s, ghost activity was down. but now im back and i smoke pot many times a day. and Pep ain’t thrilled. 

recently my gf and i were in the kitchen as i cooked dinner. and the back door decided to *unlock itself and slowly creak open* cos that’s delightful at 10:30 at night 🧍

he also likes to make wind chimes go off and random breezes when im outside smoking cigarettes or hitting the pen. like when it’s normally not windy. and usually other weird noises happen too. i’ll usually call him out on his silliness and he stops which is how he was back when he was very active in my highschool years. 

update 3-12-26:

he now has been leaving my bathroom lights on when im not home and i keep finding them on. parents confirmed it is not them. this is a code red. i think?

i kinda wonder if one of his kids smoked weed back in the 60s (when this house is from) and he didn’t like it and i remind him of that. cos he was very active when id have the munchies cos of meds i was on in high school. and he’s very active when i have the munchies now… idk man
