ipad 5th generation

i bought ipad 5th generation in 2019 that tablet was my everything i had waited too much to get it. in 2023 they bought me a phone (samsung a13) bc of that i had to give my ipad to my brother. nowaday my phone has been getting worse and i want a new tablet for myself but we can not afford it rn and i noticed my brother doesnt play with ipad anymore so i told him that i want to use my ipad back he accepted my offer and gave it to me but god... the battery died (its 24% and its been charging since 5 pm and now its 9:20 pm) and it does not get new update maybe i can still continue with this for months but still dont know i want to buy a pencil for ipad (not the original one ) unfortunately the storage is not enough too (32 gb) :(
