System romance, explained by a 15 year old boy

Let's talk romance today!

I'm going to be blogging more. Why not start with something I know a lot about? First of all, before I start, I'm very mad about spacehey deleting my blog post earlier, so this is gonna be shitty.

Today we'll talk about my relationships with my headmates. Headmates, or Alters, are people, either brainmade or introject, that live inside your body or head. So why are some people, like me, in love with theirs? Isn't that weird?

Yes. It is and I hate it. But this is my take on the Why.

Your headmates are created to appeal to you. There are other kinds of alters, obviously the term 'evil alter' exists, but thats a totally different thing than what we're discussing today. When an alter is created, whether for the first time or if it's happened before, more often times than not, it's a trauma response of some kind. They're made to help you, make you feel good. Therefore it's only natural that one might develop romantic feelings for them.

This also happens to yumeshippers or waifu-havers. Their brain is so attached to a character that they will develop an introject of them. That's actually what happened for most of my partners!

Is it weird to date a fictional character that is real?

Yes. It is weird and delusional. But it's what one does when their brain is forced to. We don't choose to be in love with someone. And we definitely don't choose for them to not have a physical form. But that's just how it is. It's gross and hard and makes me want to die, but it's just how it works out here. Love is love or whatever.

Thank you for listening to my little rant! Love you all mwah 🩷🩷

Do not start syscourse in my comments. I'm not here to debate the existence of endogenics or anything like that. We are a traumagenic system, and will not be sharing our beliefs on anything that may start a fight. Thank you ^^
