Bruh somebody asked streal of lemer2's oc ):<

It’s a massive pain when someone just decides an OC is "theirs" without putting in any of the work. If you're seeing a "steal" (or someone trying to claim an original character as their own), it usually falls into one of two categories on platforms like Scratch: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/655198010/

1. The "Exact Copy" Steal

This is when someone literally downloads the project or backpacks the sprites and re-uploads them with zero changes.

  • The Fix: Report the project for being an "Exact copy of a project." The Scratch Team is usually pretty quick about taking these down because it violates the "Remixing" guidelines (which require "significant changes").

2. The "OC Identity" Steal

This is when they use the character but claim they designed it, or they use it in a way the original creator (like lemer2 or ZYellow) explicitly forbade.

  • The Fix: If you're reporting this, use the "Music or images that aren't yours" option and include a link to the original project or the creator's profile as proof of who actually owns the character.

What to include in a report:

If you’re filing a report to get it taken down, keep it short and factual:

"This project uses the Original Character (OC) created by lemer2 without permission or credit. This is a direct copy of the assets from [Link to Original Project]."

It’s frustrating to watch people take shortcuts, especially when you're trying to keep your own projects and archives organized.

Do you have the link to the specific project where the steal is happening so we can double-check the credits?

HATE TO Naruto_Kurama-sonic!
