Doesn't matter how lonely you are, don't put effort into a one sided relationship. Your time is precious and valuable, if they don't value it, don't give them more of your time.
There are people out there who will appreciate you for being there.
And now also add that if you realize you can’t give someone back what they give you, you need to tell them instead of letting them keep hoping that one day you’ll treat them better. I still regret not telling the guy i was in a situationship with a few weeks ago sooner that he was getting his hopes up because i wasn’t in a place to give more
