I wrote this song/poem after waking up from a nightmare where the moon exploded and an apocalypse was about to begin. Also, recently around this time I ended a complicated relationship, and I still think a lot about our moments and everything I loved about her. I hope whoever reads this enjoys it, and if you're going through a similar breakup, I want you to know that this emptiness and infinite longing will pass and everything will be alright. Some things unfortunately aren't meant to be, and you should follow what's best for you. XO
Tonight i saw the moon explode
The night was cold
It was so beautiful
There was destruction everywhere
And it was so difficult
Even so, I still wanted you there
I miss your taste
I miss your poison
Your explosion Â
I'm sorry for pushing you away
even though it's what ensured my survival today
I can still taste that smell of yoursÂ
that burns in my throat
those big eyes of yours
which turn blue in their falsehood Â
the bright blonde hair of yours
turning red at sunshine
 Â
What shit do you still think of me?Â
Speak to me in your tarot cards
Do they tell you how much I miss you with hatred?Â
Ignoring me when night starts
But wanting me completely when it faded
I miss your taste
I miss your poison
Your explosion Â
I'm sorry for pushing you away
even though it's what ensured my survival today
Your face still shines for me
Like the sun shining on the moonÂ
And when it exploded the sky went darkÂ
How do you still manage to fit into my thoughts?Â
Even though I've covered up my whole heart
I saw the moon explode
The night was cold
It was so beautiful
Destruction everywhere
And it was so difficult
Even so, I still wanted you there
