What is energy in spirituality?

Energy in spirituality does not refer to the energies studied by science such as wind, thermal, etc., but to a phenomenon inherent in everything that exists (and does not exist) in the universe and all its planes.

Energy is not the same as essence or "soul," although it is directly affected by it. All things, both existing and non-existent, possess a "soul," but it has key differences from energy, which are as follows:

- The soul is inherent and inimitable; each soul is different and will never be repeated. Energy, however, can be repeated in different people, things, and times.

- The soul is immutable; each thing has its own soul, and it cannot be changed. Energy, however, as in scientific studies, is neither created nor destroyed, but it can be modified.

It is very important to understand these differences in order to even begin to practice witchcraft, since a large part of it is based on the manipulation of these energies for various reasons, their identification, etc.

Another very important thing to know about energies from a spiritual perspective is that energies are neither negative nor positive. Rather, it is the intention with which they are manipulated (whether consciously or unconsciously) that changes them between these two categories. There are no good or bad energies, as these terms are subjective, and certainly no "white," "black," or "gray" energies. These are terms invented later and reinforced by works of fiction.

(Some people refer to energies as positive or negative as a way of economizing on language when referring to energies they want or don't want within themselves, in a place, etc.).

In general, energy can be felt, but depending on its nature, it will be easier or harder to do so. Furthermore, it can generally be felt in a way that is, let's say, extrasensory, with what some would call "the sixth sense." However, it depends on many things; it can also be felt purely sensorially, seeing it, hearing it, touching it, etc.

Energies affect absolutely everything. What we commonly call luck is actually, generally, affected by energies (our own, those of our surroundings, etc.). According to these spiritual paths, coincidences don't exist; energies, the action-reaction dynamics of human beings, and everything else are what truly affect how things happen.

Energies can also affect our mood and many other things.

Energies are an immense force that is everywhere and constantly changing; they move, modify, maintain themselves, expand, or shrink, naturally, through animals, plants, sounds, and human influence. They are not something to be afraid of; in the end, they are much easier to understand than they might seem. But we must give them the importance they deserve in terms of spirituality, especially for any pagan and/or witch.

Now, witchcraft and spirituality go hand in hand with science, so to make witchcraft effective and/or understand a pagan path, it is necessary to learn about these as well.

So, apart from esoteric energy, what types of scientific energy exist?

- Mechanical energy: Energy related to both the position and motion of bodies, and therefore encompasses the various forms of energy possessed by a moving object.

· Potential energy: This refers to the position a mass occupies in space.

· Kinetic energy: This is manifested when bodies are in motion and is associated with velocity.

- Internal energy: Manifests as temperature.

- Electrical energy: When two points have a potential difference and are connected through an electrical conductor, electrical energy is generated, related to electric current.

- Solar energy: Obtained from harnessing the electromagnetic radiation from the Sun.

- Thermal energy: Associated with the amount of energy that passes from a hot body to a colder one, manifesting as heat.

- Wind energy: Obtained from the wind, thanks to the kinetic energy generated by air currents.

- Electromagnetic energy: This energy is attributed to the presence of an electromagnetic field, generated from the movement of electrically and magnetically charged particles moving and oscillating simultaneously. These are what we know as electromagnetic waves.

- Chemical energy: Manifests in certain chemical reactions in which chemical bonds are formed or broken.

- Light energy: The perceptible fraction of the energy carried by light, which can manifest itself on matter in different ways, such as ejecting electrons from metals, behaving as a wave, or as if it were matter. However, it most commonly travels as a wave and interacts with matter in a physical way. It should not be confused with radiant energy.

- Nuclear energy: This is the energy generated when atoms interact with each other. It can be released through the splitting of atoms, known as fission, or through their joining, known as fusion.

- Hydropower: This is extracted from harnessing the kinetic and potential energy of flowing rivers, waterfalls, and tides. In some cases, it is considered a "clean" energy source because its environmental impact is usually negligible.

- Sound energy: This is characterized by being produced by the vibration or movement of an object, which also vibrates the surrounding air.

- Photovoltaic energy: The conversion of a light particle with energy (photon) into electromotive (voltaic) energy.

- Hydroelectric energy: Obtained by the fall of water from a certain height to a lower level, thus causing the movement of mechanisms such as waterwheels or turbines.

- Geothermal energy: Energy that can be obtained by harnessing the Earth's internal heat.

- Tidal energy: The energy resulting from harnessing the tides. It is due to the difference in average sea level depending on the relative position of the Earth and the Moon, which results in the gravitational attraction of the Moon and the Sun on the oceans.

- Ionic energy: The amount of energy required to remove the least tightly bound electron from a neutral gaseous atom in its ground state.

- Metabolic energy: The set of physical and chemical reactions and processes that occur in a cell.

- Magnetic energy: It is the consequence of telluric electric currents produced in the earth.

That said, thank you so much for reading my blog. I hope you found it interesting and/or useful. I find it a very fascinating topic to study, even the basics.

Until next time, bye!
